Body Awareness Dialogue

“I am dealing with problems in the body where there is never just one cause. I’d like you to have more reality on the circular processes that do not act in the body, but that are the body. The body process is not linear, it is circular; always, it is circular. One thing goes awry, and its effects go on and on and on and on. A body is a web, connecting everything with everything else.”-Ida Rolf

Introductory Session

Free

I like to meet my therapist to see if it is a good fit. Now is a chance to meet, ask questions, and experience the work. This session includes a neck and shoulder release.

Hellerwork Session

1 hr $130 1.5 hr $170

This service combines gentle hands-on work, movement, and therapeutic dialogue. Hellerwork helps you explore how your body has adapted over time and discover new possibilities for greater ease and comfort. Sessions can focus on a specific concern or be experienced individually throughout the 11-session series.

This service combines Hellerwork with a Nervous System Reset, where we can move fluidly between structural work, gentle nervous system-focused techniques, movement education, therapeutic massage, scar work, and dialogue, creating a session that supports your goals while respecting your body's pace.

Three pillars of alignment

We often look for a single cause of pain. The body rarely works that way. Every injury, habit, surgery, stressor, relationship, and movement history becomes part of an ongoing conversation throughout the body. Rather than chasing isolated symptoms, Hellerwork explores these relationships, helping you discover new possibilities for movement, comfort, and awareness. My role isn't to force change. It's to listen with you, to become curious about how your body has adapted, and to create the conditions where it no longer has to work quite so hard.

Movement Education

Instead of asking, "Where does it hurt?" we also ask, "How has your body organized itself around this?"

Structural work combines gentle hands-on work with movement and awareness. Throughout the session you may be invited to move, breathe, or notice subtle sensations as we explore how different parts of your body work together. Instead of passively receiving treatment, you become an active participant in discovering new ways of moving and organizing yourself.

One of the things that makes Hellerwork different is that conversation becomes part of the work. Along with the hands-on work, we'll explore your experience through movement, breath, and awareness. Rather than interpreting your experience, we'll become curious about it together. By bringing attention to patterns that have quietly become part of everyday life, you may begin to discover new ways of moving, responding, and relating to your body.

After each session we'll spend time exploring how your body feels in standing, walking, and everyday movement. Rather than prescribing exercises, we'll use simple movements to help your nervous system notice new possibilities.

The brain is constantly predicting and updating how we move based on our experiences. Each time you move with greater awareness, you're providing new sensory information that can gradually reshape familiar movement patterns. Over time, these new experiences become easier to access and more naturally integrated into daily life.

About

I came to bodywork because I was fascinated by the quiet ways people communicate care through touch. I have had different struggles in my own body and life that allowed me a different empathy with clients knowing how much not knowing a cause and not being able to live life in the same way can take its toll. This is why my passion has guided my sessions to increase knowledge, awareness, and empowerment for clients.

Over the years I've studied Hellerwork Structural Integration, Craniosacral Therapy, ScarWork, osteopathic approaches, movement education, and the growing neuroscience of perception, pain, memory, and body awareness. While each discipline offers something valuable, none provides the whole picture.

What continues to inspire me is the understanding that the body is always adapting. Our posture, breathing, movement, and even our sense of ourselves emerge from countless relationships unfolding over time.

My work is grounded in careful listening, gentle curiosity, and the belief that meaningful change happens best when people feel safe enough to explore rather than being pushed toward a predetermined outcome.

Outside the treatment room you'll usually find me reading, in nature with my partner and 2 schnauzers, or diving into my own self care explorations.
